— • SPEED FIEND CAUGHT AND FINED (By Telegraph—Special Correspondent.) Nelson, February 4. Charged at the Alagistrate’s Court to-day with crossing a street intersection "in the city at a speed greater than six miles an hour, a defendant was fined £5 and costs. The police alleged that the rider got to Richmond, eight miles distant, in nine minutes. “You will never suppress this speed ing until motorists are licensed and power is given to ■withdraw licenses,’ said Air. T. E. Alaunsell, S.AL, in im posing the fine.
