♦ FROM OUR fiPECIAL CORRESPONDENT. Carterton, January 21. In Ithe Carterton Magistrate’s Court to-day, William Jones, of Feilding, being a person excluded from racecourses, was convicted and fined £lO and costs for trespassing on the Taratahi racecourse on October 27, ■the occasion of the Carterton Racing Club’s meeting. Francis Tyler, for failing to keep a wages and overtime book, was fined 20s. and costs. The inspector stated that the records showed that no book had been kept for the past three years. Richard Moody, n farmer at Te Wlrnrau, was fined £5 a.nd costs for failing to clear the property occupied by him. of gorse. For failing to register for military service under the Dsfenda A/it, John Stanley Watts was fined 20s. and eosts. An adjourned sitting of the Wairarapa Licensing Committee was held at Carterton to-aav, when the application of W. J. Laurv, for a license in respect of the Morison’s Bush Hotel, was further adjourned for a month.
