NEW ZEALAND LAMB

BESULTS OF “GIFT” CAMPAIGN. The scheme recently devised by the Meat Producers’ Board for advertising New Zealand lamb, by affording facilities to people resident in the Dominion to send parcels of a carcass to any address in Great Britain is showing satisfactory results already. A sample of letter now being received by' the’ board is the following one from Auckland:— “I am pleased to inform you that I have received advice of the reception of the two lamb carcasses that you contracted to deliver for me, and that the condition, quality, and everything connected therewith was first-class. I might say that the districts they went to knew little about this product, and their arrival caused a good deal of local gossip, which I am certain will have a good effect. The idea has occurred to me that a similar scheme in connection with fruit (apples) would be jumped at by many in the Do minion.”
