POLICE AND SUMMONS CASES Police and summons oases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M. x , George Lawrence, alias Patrick Johnstone, etc., and Frank Rumble who committed a breach of the peace, in Courtenay Place were each fined £3 and costs. _ . , Charged with the theft £6 7s. lid., while an officer of the New Zealand Government, Morris Domb was remanded to appear at AA’hakatane on Thursday. SUMMONS CASES. For being unlawfully in possession of a colt revolver, Edward Cloaks was fined £5 and costs, and ordered to forfeit the weapon. It was stated that the firearm had not been used for 17 years. ® Mrs.' A. Leitch and R. Ginsberg, for selling cigarettes after hours and failing to close at 1 p.m., were each fined £4 and costs. F. Clewer, who sold cigarettes after hours, was fined £2 and costs, and for a similar offence Pete/ Chan was fined £1 and costs. G. On, who failed to close at the proper hour, was fined £2 and costs, and H. Kennedy, 10s. and costs. _ Failure to keep a wages and time book led to 0. E. Mullis being fined £1 and costs. A fine of £3 and costs was imposed on Bernard Burns, who used threaten- ■ ing behaviour in Manners Street. For being found on the of the Britannia Hotel after hours, AValter Bannister was fined £1 and costs. George Hood was fined £1 and costs for selling adulterated milk. It was explained that the milk had not been sufficiently agitated. For obstructing passenger traffic on the Ferry AVharf, John Firth, licensee of the AVestern Park Hotel, was fined £1 and costs. , A charge of stealing five. gramophone records, preferred against a young waiter named Roy Osborne was
