SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
The provision of the hostesses, Airs. Edwards and Miss Passau, for their guests was such on Tuesday, at the Sailors’ Friend Society, that two hours of unalloyed enjoyment resulted. The performers were Alesdames Edwards and Fortune and Alisses Passau. Bowden, Stokes, East, Ashton, Davies, and Messrs. Floyd. Airs. Fortune and Mis? Alartin were at the piano. Air. J. Mpore gave a temperance chat and pledges followed. The competitions were wonderfully successful. The prizes came from the hostess and went to the Arawa, Pakoha, and AfaramaJ*
