Relay race—’Varsity (Leadbetf er. Whitehead. Hill, ami Tracy), 1: Wellington (Paris. TTodgins. Guy. Wilkins), 2. Paris was first In deliver the baton, Whitehead and Hodgins made a close contest of the second relay. Guy was first to arrive in the third change, but Tram- ran away from Wilkins. Kent, and Stevenson in the dash for the tape, and won by 6yds. Time. 46sec.
The first track gathering of the season under the control of the ‘Wellington Centre, N.Z.A.A.A.. will take place at Athletic Park on Saturday next. An excellent programme has been arranged, and good entries have been received. Considerable interest centres round the meeting of Tracy and Jenkins in the 220 yards event, in view of the latter’s great effort in annexing the secondary schools’ championship in record time. Two ladies’ races are on the programme. the entries including three from Levin, where a new ladies’ club has been rfornied. Aliss Dawson will be opposed for tho first time by Miss Swinbourne, who has some good performances to her credit. The first event is timed for 2.30 p.nr.
