INTERCESSORY SERVICE

o Despite unfavourable weathei condit'ons there was a good attendance at tho intercessory service held at midday yesterday. Mr. A. Barney piesided'. Portions of Scripture were read as follow: —Psalm 34 by the chairman, Isaiah 53rd chap., by Mr. W. J. Lees, and Matthew 12: 14-37 by Mr. JNicol. Tho Rev. E. T. Olds and Captain Blackburno and Mr. G. A. Troup participated in prayer. Community , hymns mterspersed throughout the seiI vice were heartily sung. Mr. J. Mann officiated at tho piano.
