NORTHERN CHALLENGE SHIELD By Telegraph.— Press Association. Hamilton, August 19. A League football match for the .Northern Challenge Shield attracted a record attendance. Tho game resulted in a win for South Auckland over Wellington by 27 points to 11. The game was exciting throughout, and the teams wore more evenly matched than the scores would indicate, though the local men deserved to win on tho play. Scores at half-time were: South Auckland, 12; Wellington, 5. For Wellington, Hedges and Brace (2) scored tries, and Hedges kicked a penalty goal. AUCKLAND GAMES. By TELEGRAr’’.—Pnrss ASSOCIATION.
