HARRIERS
BROOKLYN CLUB. Twelve runners faced the starter in the Brooklyn Harriers’ Club race for tho Ladies’ Braclet, which took place over one lap of the championship course at Miramar on Saturday. Among them were E. Rose, brother of the provincial champion, who signalised his first appearance with the club by gaining second place. After about a mile of tho course had been covered the load was taken by A. Dalgleish, with H. Billings and S. Willis handy, but when the top of the hill was reached Dalglicsh had a lead of hundred yards, which ho retained to the finishing point. Rose and Eyre finished well to gain second and third places rcspec--tively. Tho race resulted as follows, actual times being shown in parenthesis: —A. Dalgleish 17min. llsec. (16min. 28sec.), 1; E. Rose. 17min. 40 secs. (16min. 35sec.), 2; A. Eyre, 17 min. 42sec. (16min. 22sec). 3. Fastest times were recorded by D. Tood (15 min. 56sec.), ‘A. Henderson (16min. 3 sec..), and A. Eyro (16min. 22sec.). Officials for the day were: Starter, Mr. F. W. Mooro; judges, Messrs. Barclay and I>. C. Todd ; timekeeper, Mr. W. Marshall. Next Saturday’s run will take place at Karori.
