NO INDEMNITY TO TURKEY
GREECE CANNOT AND WILL NOT PAY.
Athens, April 12. M. Alexandris, Minister of Foreign Affairs, in an interview, said: “Greece will not and cannot pay an indemnity to Turkey, and prefers to refuse to sign th© peace. Nevertheless; it is believed that Turkey needs peace, and will bo delighted to sign. Greece will then be free to put her finances m order and considerably reduce ner army.”—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
