INCENDIARY FIRES IN CANADA
INSURANCE RATES OF CATHOLIC INSTITUTIONS RAISED. IRec. April 13, 7.15 p.m.) Ottawa, April 12.. Due to tho large number of fires in Catholic institutions in tho Quebec province, the fire insurance companies have cancelled all policies upon these and instituted new rates amounting to 35 to 40 per cent, increase in premium. Furthermore, insurance will fie granted to such institutions hereafter, only if the companies are satisfied the buildings are at present good risks, naturally irrespective cf the possibilities of incendiarism. —Aus.-N.Z.
