TO VISIT AMERICA Mr. F. Castle, chairman of the Wellington Hospital Board, stated jesteiday that, following upon ±he discussion at the board of the proposal to Bend tho superintendent of the hospital (Dr. Wilson) abroad to learn the latest in hospital equipment, etc., arrangenients had boon completed for Dr. >v ilson to leave for America next month. Dr. Wilson will visit the latest and most up-to-date hospitals in the United States and Canada, with a view of seeking out now' ideas which may be found suitable to the new hospital buildings about to bo erected. Dr. Wilson will bo absent from New Zealand for at least four months, during which time his duties will bo performed by a local tenons yet to be appointed. It is not anticipated that any degree, of hurry will bo exercised in prosecuting the board’s building.scheme until Dr. Wilson’s return to Wellington.
