NEW GRADING MARKS FOR .. TEACHERS COMING TERM HOLIDAYS The new grading marks for the year have just been received by the "Wellington Education Board from the Education Department, and the board in the current month’s pay-list, is providing for any addition to salaries which teachers may be entitled to on on account of higher grading. Tho first term vacation for primary and district high schools /through-out the Wellington district, including Marlborough, will commence on the afternoon of Friday, May 11, and the schools will re-open on the morning of Tuesdav, May 29.
The following further appointments* of teachers have been made by the Education Board: —Thorndon Normal, senior female assistant. Miss L. Hargreaves : Kelburn Kindergarten, mistress. Miss O. M. Ray: Lyall Bay, fourth assistant. Miss Jean Stevenson • Porirua, junior assistant, Miss L. H. Muir.
Applications for the vice-princinal-shin of the Teachers’ Training College, which close with the Education Foard to-day. will bo considered at the meeting of the hoard on April 18.
