A large and enthusiastic gathering of members Ind their friends assenibled in the Dominion Farmers' Concert Hall on Sunday last, the occasion being the local Irish • Society’s reception to Mr. Aden Doone and his company. In extending a hearty welcome to tho visitors, the society’s president referred in eulogistic terms to the talent of Mr. Doone and the players associated him. A most enjoyable musical programme was then presented by the following:—Misses McEwan, Fenton,, and McDavitt, Messrs. Boyce and Hickmott. Tho duties of aocompanisto were successfully carried out by Misses Connolly and Lynch. At tho conclusion of tho meeting Mr. Doone expressed himself’ ns highly dlelightcd with the warm welcome that had boon extended to himsolf and the company.
