A ROUGH PASSAGE

26 HOURS FROM WELLINGTON TO LYTTELTON. A Press Association from Christchurch last evening stated, that the New Zealand Shipping Company’s Hurunui arrived at Lyttelton at 2 o clock Yesterday afternoon, from Wellington, after a very rough passage of 26 hours. The vessel sailed from Wellington shortly after noon on Sunday, and no doubt she encountered the severe southerly on Sunday night and yesterday 'morning. Considerable difficulty was experienced in berthing the Hurunui flt Lyttelton. The operation took an hour" and a-half to complete.
