CHARGE OF INCITING TO MURDER

TO OBTAIN INSURANCE MONEY. London, April 7. John Kersie, of Liverpool, was charged with inciting a man named Connolly to murder Mrs. Kersie in order to secure her newspaper insurance money. Kersio elaborated a plan whereby Connolly, attired in a white sheet, should suddenly appear before the woman, and, while she was in a state of terror, tip her over the stair bannisters. If this did not break her nack, Connolly was to finish her off with a coal hammer. Connolly was to receive £lOO for his trouble. Connolly apparently agreed to the terms, but unfolded the plot to Mrs. Kersie, and the police subsequently arrested Kersie. He was remanded for a week. Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
