AMERICA’S FOREIGN POLICY

THE PRESIDENT TO TOUR WESTERN STATES

LEAGUE OF NATIONS ISSUE . BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. —COPYRIGHT. (Tv€j. April 9, 8.45 p.m.) Washington, April 8 President and Mrs. Harding have returned, from their- vacation greatly improved in health. The President is confronted with ten weeks’ administrative work before a trip to Alaska, which will be supplemented by a strenuous speaking tour throughout the Western States in advocacy of entry into the Wo.'ld Court and general foreign policy, aa well as domestic matters. The President is expected shortly to take up the liquidation of the Government shipping and to summon the Governors of States to a conference on prohibition. Although the President is now silent ns regards foreign policies, it is understood he and his advisers do not regard the World Court as a controversial issue of any importance. Several associates of President Harding have expressed the opinion that the Republican leaders would welcome the League of Nations issue in the Presidential campaign in 1924, provided the Democratic candidate stands sefuarely against President Harding on the question.—Aus.-N.Z Cable Assn.
