When Major Dibden made the news known it was not long before there were two volunteers. One man, who is in constant work, stated that he w<Mld forgo his Easter holidays and make an attempt to save his comrade’s life.
Meantime, however, it was found that Idriess had reported direct to the Tiospital, and had had a blood test taken. He states, even though he had never, met him. before, lie will “give it a go” to save a. “Digger’s” life. Idriess was three times wounded at the war—• when near Jerusalem, at Shrapnel Gully, and at Lone Pine.
