CASES REMANDED. Messrs. I. Salek and A. Waterworth, J.P.’s, presided at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court yesterday. On the application of Chief-Detective Kemp, Frederick Marryatt, who was charged with converting to his own use £2 Os. 6d., received? on terms requiring him, as manager of the M eraroa Training Farm, to pay it into the banking account of, Cyril Robertson, was remanded, for a week. Bail was granted-self in £250, with two sureties of a like amount., Charged with insobriety and assaulting Margaret Milligan, a middle-aged man named Thomas Rodgers was remanded until Friday, bail being fixed at £10.» ' . A similar remand was grantee in the caSc of Harry Garner Ross, alias William Henry ‘Garner, ’ who was charged with: assaulting Frederick Robert Leonard. The police stated that an additional charge of assault tn a child would later be preferred against the accused. Bail (£25) was allowed. A middle-aged labourer, Sydney William Arthur, appeared on charms of breaking and entering the. premises of Maria Parkinson with intent to commit rane. and of assaulting Marin Parkinson so as to cause her actual bodilv harm.
