HONORARY JUSTICES’ ASSOCIATION
Tho annual meeting of the Honorary Justices’ Association of Wellington was held in the Magistrate’s Courthouse last night, when there was a good gathering of Justices present. The chairman of the association (Mr. R. D. Hanlon) presided. The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. In. connection with the “Justices’ Handbook,” which has been prepared by Mr. Riddell, Stipendiary Magistrate, it was resolved to supply each member of the association with a copy. The following officers were elected: — President, tho senior Judge of the Wellington district, His Honour Mr. Justice Hosking; vice-presidents, His Worship tho Mayor of Wellington, Mr. TV. G. Riddell, senior Magistrate, Mr. E. Page. Stipendiary Magistrate, Mr. F. K. Hunt. Stipendiary Magistrate ; hon. solicitors, Messrs. Salek, Turner, and Brown; hon. auditor, Mr. J. L. Arcus; hon. treasurer. Mr. F. Dyer; hori. registrar, Mr. I. Salek; local-' deputies, Messrs. R. S. Abrahams and J. S’ Stevens (Palmerston North), Mr. E. Goodbehere (Feilding), Mr. E. G. Eton (Masterton) ; council, Messrs. Pv. D. Hanlon, W. H. Coy, F. G. Cray, H. B. Bridgj?. R. Armit, D. Keir, Dunbar Sloane, J. B. Teasdale, L. U. Chaffey. A vote of thanks to the members of the council for the largo amount of work done during the past year was carried with applause.
