TECHNICAL COLLEGE

PLUMBERS’ BOARD’S COMPLAINT.

The monthly meeting of the board of ■tho Wellington Technical College was held on Monday, Mr. W. H. Bennett presiding. 'There were also present Messrs. J. Howell, T. Ballinger, W. Pascoe, T. Forsyth, J. Reed, C. H. •Chapman, J. Barras, and J. 0. Shorland. 'Die Plumbers’ Board wrote’ regretting that the'standard of plumbing generally, as disclosed at the examination held in. November, did not show any improvement. It could only bo assumed that students were not attending the classes, or were not receiving proper instruction at the technical schools. It; was pleasing to note an improvement at 'Christchurch since pupils had taken advantage of the technical instruction there. Tho chairman regretted that the writers were not more definite in allocating the blame to colleges. Ho had always thought the plumbing work done locally was good. It was decided to refer tho matter to tho Plumbers' Board for report.
