KICK-INTO-TOUCH RULE. BY TBLEGEAPH.—PEESS ASSOCIATION. Christchurch, March 20. At the annual meeting ot the Canterbury Rugby Union to-night, there was given on the voices general approval of tho retention of the kick-into-touch rule adopted by the New Zealand Rugby Union last season. DALEFIELD CLUB. FEOM CUE OWN COEEESPONDENT. Carterton, March 20. There was a good attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Dalefield Football Club. Mr. H. H. Knowles presided. The report and balance-sheet were adopted, showing a credit of £l3 2s. 4d. It was decided that the subscription be the same as last season, and tihat teams bo entered in the junior and third-grade competitions. Twenty-five new members were elected. The meeting passed a vote of condolence with Mr. J. Hodder, a vicepresident of the club, iu his recent bereavement. A vote of thanks was accorded Mr. F. Groube for his sen-ices as coach during the past season. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. W. S. Gallon; president, Mr. H. H. Knowles; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. J. Foley, T. Collerton, J. Mindham. H. H. Cherry, and A. Udy weie added to last year’s list; comniittee, Mr. F. Groube, captain and vice-captain; delegates to \\ .R.U., Messrs. F. Groube, and H. Knowles; delegate to mamtgfeineni committee, Mr.°F. Groube; secretary and treasurer Mr A. H. Knowles; auditor, Mr. A. 0. Abbott; coach, Mr. F. Groube. HOME TEAM TO VISIT SOUTH AFRICA. London, March 19.The Rugby Football International Board has decided to send a team of English, Scotch, Welsh, and Irisn players to South Africa in 19-4. Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
