PADDY’S MARKET
N TO-DAY AT TOWN HALL. The “Paddy’s Market,” in aid ofthe Community Club, to be opened at the Town Hall this afternoon, is expected to draw big crowds. There will Be an unusually large number of stalls, all of which will be particularly well stocked. Numerous sideshows, got up chiefly by Territorials and Senior Cadets, will be running, and an unusual novelty will be presenteel in “Mr. and Mrs,. Sponduliks, for the discovery of whom prizes will be given. Tug-o’-war competitions among Senior Cadets and Territorials will be held each night, and a splendid entertainment will be given every evening. To-night the First Battalion Band will render selections, and Miss Jean Turner’s ukelele and guitar orchestra will give some haunting Hawaiian melodies. There will also be some dejightful dancing exhibitions by Mr. Joe Knowsley’s pupils. The “Market” will be open every afternoon ana evening this week, and each day will have its special features. On Friday next a grand baby show is to be held. For this four prizes of one guinea each are being awarded to the best bov and best girl in two different cla'sses. One of these prizes has already been donated by the Mayoress (Mrs B A. "Wright), and another by tiie'Glen Ara Farm.
