HOCKEY
KARORI CLUB. At the twentv-flhird annual meeting of tffe Karori Hockey Club Mr. Watchman presided over a large and enthusiastic meeting. The report and bal-ance-sheet, showing tho, club to be in a strong and financ’al position, were read and adopted. The: election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mr. B. G. H. Burn;* vice-presidents, Messrs. McGavin. J. Jordan, W. Dasent, S. Evans, W. Collins, C. Mclntosh, H. Roberts, R. Read, M. .P. Spiers, D. McKenzie, J. Burns, jun., R. " Watchman, W. C. Cooper, T. Campbell, A. Cathie, and L. P. Davies: secretary and treasurer, Mr. J. R. Whithair;' chib captain, Mr. E. Lower; management committee. Messrs C. Moore, R. Henderson, W. Purves, H. Murray, F. Hemslev ; selection committee, Messrs. E. Lower, W. C. Cooper, J. R . Whithair: delegates to association, Messrs. R. Watchman. J. R. Whithair; hon. auditor, Mr. C. J. Da sent.
Fifteen new members were elected, and it was decided to enter teams in each grade of the competitions.
