At tlie Eltham Horticultural Society’s show held on February 28 and March 1 there were ever 1200 entries. Sweet pea classes brought 74 entries, asters 53. dahlips CO. The rose championship was won bv Mr. N. C. Connel' with a Hugh Hickson, the dahli chainpioiish.in by Mr. G. It. P. FitzGerald with a Mrs.. D. Fleming bloom. The Eltham shows are believed to be tho most successful in Taranaki, both for quantity and quality of exhibits.
