SCOTCH SYNDICATE TO RUN CARGOES SENSATIONAL REPORT FROM EDINBURGH » By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyright. (Rec. March Iff, 8.20 p.m.) London, March 15. According to n. sensational report emanating from Edinburgh, a powerful syndicate of the Scotch whisky trade has been formed to run huge cargoes of spirits to tho United Stateo. One of the chief participants is declared to bo a well-known Wall Street financier. Thirty ships will be employed. Tho syndicate has received an initial order for 100,000 cases oi tho value of half a million sterling. It is not known where such a quantity is> procurable. becaulse good Scotch whisky was never scarcer than at present.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
