According to n. sensational report emanating from Edinburgh, a powerful syndicate of the Scotch whisky trade has been formed to run huge cargoes of spirits to tho United Stateo. One of the chief participants is declared to bo a well-known Wall Street financier. Thirty ships will be employed. Tho syndicate has received an initial order for 100,000 cases oi tho value of half a million sterling.
