COPPER INSTEAD OF NICKEL

As it has been found imperative to increase tho price of milk during the winter months, it has been necessary to provide new tokens which cannot bo confused with those at present in circulation. Instead of nickel, the winter tokens will be of copper, stamped similarly to the present'tokens, but perforated in th'» centre instead of slotted from tho side. A contract has been placed with the Precision Engineering Works to supply 575,000 of these tokens, and for that purpose a special machine, turning out 80 tokens per minute, has been devised.
