A MAN HUNT
ULIMAROA DELAYED The fact that members of ‘the crew of ’ the Huddart-Parker Co.’s intercolonial passenger steamer Ulimaroa objected to a couple of late members of ths crew of the Moeraki taking passage back to Sydney by the former vessel resulted in her being delayed at Wellington for about three-quarters of an hour yesterday. It appears that the two men, who had just left the Aloeraki at AVellington, were regarded as strike-breakers during the late trouble with the seamen, and, therefore, the men on the Ulimaroa declined to tum-to until they ascertained whether the two men were aboard the Hud-dart-Parker boat- A couple of men came on to the Ulimaroa and made a search for the ex-members of the Aloeraki’s crew. The Ulimaroa was ready to sail for Sydney at noon, but it was not until ten minutes to 5 p.m. that it was found that the men were not on the vessel, and she was permitted to proceed on her voyage.
