» BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association. Christchurch, Alarch 9. An inquest into the death of Edward Kenneth Manttan, killed in a motor-car accident on Thursday morning at Kaiapoi, a verdict was returned of death from injuries caused by being crushed by a motor-car driven by Alan Cordner Alidgely. Alidgely said tho car came into collision with a horse straying on the road. The car, the Coroner aiided, was being driven at a very high rate of speed.
