ASSOCIATES’ CHAAIPIONSHIP FINAL. Tho Wellington Croquet Association tournament was concluded yesterday after fifteen davs’ strenuous play. Airs. Gardner defeated Airs. McDowell, 26—17 in the first life of the lady associates’ championship for Airs. Len McKenzie’s cun. and won it from the holder. Airs. Norton Smith (Ncaroma Club) in the second life. 26 —25. This was one of the best games of the tourney. Airs. Gardner pegged out on<s of her opponent’s balls and after some nood play was successful m hittine' the peg with her own. Tlie prizes will be distributed this afternoon by Airs. .AlcDowcll, vicepresident of the association.
