THE BAILIFF IN
WATERSIDE WORKERS’ UNION Property belonging to the Wellington Waterside Workers’ Union was seized by a bailiff yesterday afternoon to satisfy a late Supreme Court judgment in favour of certain members of the union who took legal proceedings against that body. Only recently a stir was created through the action of a bailiff in Dunedin, who, acting in connection with the same judgment, seized, the instruments of the "Wellington Waterside Workers’ Band while the members were competing at tho Dunedin band competition. Late yesterday afternoon the bailiff entered the Harbour Board X store, top floor, and took possession of tho piano and chairs owned bv tho Waterside "Workers’ Union. .Subsequently the bailiff visited tho union’s office in Queen’s Chambers, Jervois Quay, and intimated that he had to seize the union’s two office safes and typewriter.
