At a meeting of the Wellington Branch of the New Zealand Educational Institute last evening Mr. W. kFo.ster. 0.8. E., headmaster of the Clyde Quay School, was heartily congratulated on the honour recently bestowed on him. The Governor-General performed two interesting ceremonies at Now Plymouth yesterday. His Excellency unveiled a handsome memorial archway :u die Boys’ High School commemorating 45 men, old boys, and masters who fell in the war. The opportunity was also taken to present the school cadets with tho Governor-General’s handsome challenge cup for the best performances in tho Imperial Challenge Shield shooting competitions amongst New Zealand teams in 1921. —Press Assn.
