ANNUAL FEDERATION CONFERENCE. The annual conference of the New Zealand Federation of Drapers and Clothiers commenced its deliberations vesterday, the president (Mr. E. HTUvles) presiding over a large attendance of delegates. The gathering was formally welcomed by the Mayor (Mi. R. A. Wright, M.P.). In the course of his presidential address Mr. Wylcs congratulated the Advisory Board on the success which had attended its efforts and proffered his tha-nks to tho presidents, executives, ana members of all the affiliated ciations for their co-operation. lhe speaker took advantage of the oppor tii-rffly to welcome Mi*. C. Colemg, a member of the Drapers’ Chamber of Trade, London, and chairman of tho Advisory Commifteo for Vocational Educational in "Distributing Trades. Mr. AVyles expressed the hope that the deliberations would be successful, and made a strong appeal to the organisations and members for unity and cohesion. The conference will resume to-day.
