As a result of dissatisfaction with the Arbitration Court’s award as affecte ing the wages of minors- in the Waihi district, a step-work meeting was held on Saturday, as a protest against reductions. ‘The whole matter was considered. and it was decided not to go on strike, but it is understood that contract workers, who are responsible for the decision, propose to express the ; r sympathy by adopting a go-slow policy.
