Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Feilding sale, held on January 12: —We had a heavy yarding of both sheep and cattle, which met with a brisk sale throughout. Tho sheep yarding consisted mostly of rape lambs. Vcrv few fats were offered. Some good bred lines of steers met with. a good sale. Wo quote: Fat wethers. 31s. fid. ; fat ewes, 255. lOd. fo 265. : woolly rape lambs, 18s. lid., 21s. sd„ 21s. 10d., 225. to 225. Id. ; shorn, 20s. 6d.; small lambs. Ils. fid. to 13s. Id.. Cattle: 3-year steers, £4 25.. £4 1.55. to £5 ss. : p.a. steers, io £6 Gs,; 3 and 4-year bullocks, £6 Gs., £6 7s. to £6 155.; 2-year steers, to £4 10s.; fat and forward Hereford cows, £4 3s. 6d.; fat cows, light, £3 ]05...£3 15s. 6d.. £4 55.. £4 10s., to £4 ]ss. ; fat bullocks; light, to £7 6s. ; odd lots of young stock and cows and bulls sold at current rates. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report: At Feilding sale on January 12 wo had fair entries of both sheep and cattle. There was a large attendance of the public and keen interest was taken in the sheep, prices for which remained on a par with last week’.s values, and the whole of tho yarding, wns sold under the hammer. Competition on the cattle was also good, and the majority of lines changed hands at values on a par with late sales.
