ACCIDENTS
TWO MEN INJURED. At noon yesterday a young man named Allan William Taylor Pugh, fell under a- tramcar in Cuba Street, and had a foot fractured by. one of the wheels passing over . it. Pugh is employed iu the railway service at Auckland, and his people reside at 50 Herbert Street, Greymouth. He was admitted to the hospital at 1 I*-™ and underwent an operation early last evening, after, which he was reported to be progressing favourably.. During shunting operations at Lambton Station last evening n married man named Alfred J. Parnen slipped under nn engine and received slight injuries to eno of his feet. He was quite conscious when admitted to the* hospital at 10 p.m.. ana re is stated to b« “doing well.” Parnell resides at 19a Railway Terrace, Kniwarra.
