ANNUAL MEETING. Mr. C. W. Tringham presided at the annual |neetiiig tof the Wellindtoh Horticultural Society, held on Wednesday night. A motion of condolence with tho relatives of tho late Air. J. J. Kerslake was carried in silence, members standing. 1 Officers were appointed as follow: — Patrons, Their Excellencies tho Gov-ernor-General and Viscoiintess Jellicoe; president, Air. J. B. Harcourt; vice-presidents, Lady Luke, Airs. Arthur Pearce, Airs. 11. Al. Gore, Airs. W. Turnbull, Airs. C. F. Vallance, Mrs. Dr. Hislop, Aliss R. Al. Joseph, Aliss Afarchant, Airs. George Johnson, Airs. S. Kirkcaldio, Airs. Knox Gilmer, Messrs. C. W. Tringham. W. J. Tliompson, T. Waugh, and W. JHarland; management committee, Messrs. A. Richards, W. O. Boole, J. G. AlacKenzie, G. Jeffrey, G. Clark, and N. A. Grant, lion, treasurer. Air. G. Jeffrey; lion, secretary, Air. H. A. Fox. . The question of linking up with similar bodies in the suburbs was discussed. and was left to the incoming committee to consider further. The object is to avoid clashiiu of show dates and improve the value of the shoWS. , ,r Ttr A hearty vote of thanks to Air. Al.
