The'Auckland Power Board’s proposal to raise £600,000 for the reticulation of the district, was carried at a poll of ratepayers t* day. Only 4487 votes were recorded out of a roll totalling 80,400. The figures were: For, 4179; against, 228. The citizens’ weekly intercessory service will be. held ini the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, to-morrow, between 12.80 and 1.30 p.m. The order of-the service will, as usual, be simple, comprising song, prayer, and Scripturereading. “Those attending the service may enter and leave tho hall as desired.
