COMMUNITY SINGING TO-NIGHT

There will bo community singing tonight at the Town Hall from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. This is the last reminder for to-night’s “sing.” and nil readers who, this eveninpr. feel tired, worried, unhappy, or in any way out of sorts are recommended to go to the ".sing” for cheery relaxation. Singing is a happy tonic which can be taken by anyone. The committee decided to hold this night’s “sing” in response to many requests, and wish it known that only community song book? will be used. These are on sale at all music stores. Doors will be opened at 7.15, and Mr. Clement Howe will play selections on the grand organ from 7.30 to 8 p.m. After that the evening will be in charge of three song loaders, Messrs. Charlie Webb, Temple White, and Albert Russell, with acoompapists. Misses Gladvs Watkins. Dorothy Mills, and Mrs. Albert Russell. Each leader will have a 40 minutes’ session.. and the songs in each session are all different. The “sing” is free, but the usual collection will be taken and the surplus over expenses handed to the Sir Arthur Pearson Memorial Fund for the civilian blind, of New Zealand.
