Major Blake telegraphs as follows from Brindisi:— “Wo have arrived hero from Naples, travelling via Foggia in order to avoid the mountains as far On the way we encircled Vesuvius, flying through denso clouds of sulphurous smoke which nearly choked us. We were badly bumped when flying oyer the crater, at times rising and falling five or six hundred feet. We crossed the Appennines at a height of 10,000 feet. The machine is flying well.
