AUSTRALIA’S FINE LEAD. Sydney, June 27. The members of the British Empire Exhibition Commission will sail for New Zealand on Thursday. Major Belcher says he understands that the outlay for Australia’s participation has been fixed nt £250,000. He considers that Australia has given a very fine lead, and that both the Federal and the State Ministers have displayed wide vision as te the possibilities of the exhibition. Major Belcher has Issued a memorandum setting out particulars for a proposal to send contingents of schoolboys from th'e Dominions to the Empire Exhibition in 1924. He estimates the approximate cost per head to be £lOO, and proposes that the Commonwealth and the States should boar the cost of transport. He suggests that the Australian contingent should consist of 250 boys, selected from tho States on a pro rata basis.—Press Assn.
