ANNUAL PARISHIONERS’ MEETThe annual meeting of tho parishioners of tho St. Matthew’s Church, Brooklyn, was held on Wednesday in the new hall. Rev. A. W. H. Campton presided over fl large attendance. The report stated that there.were' 78 celebrators of holy communion, average attendance 14, a slight decline due to the fact that there were two Easters in the previous financial year, and no Easter celebrations in the period, under review. Communicants on Christinas Day. numbered 117; an increase of 22 after, the confirmation ceremony by tho Bishop in October. . The vestry desired to place on record their appreciation of the services of all workers, particularly tho bible class and Sunday school teachers. The Girls’ Friendly Society is doing good work.'. The profits of the bazaar, £9l, were divided between , the hall and vicarage funds. Tho parish magazine was a decided help. The new hall was partly furnished, several donations, indeed, coming forward at last night’s meeting, and was proving a valuable asset in all parish activities, besides providing a welcome source of revenue. The envelope system had proved a success. The officers elected wore as follows: —Wardens: Mr- G; N. Evans (vicar’s), Mr. G. Fendall (peoples). .Vestrymen ; Messrs. G. W. Benson, H. T. Boddy, C.
