The Methodist Conference resolved: “That, in view of the licensing poll next December, the conference calls attention of ministers, circuit officials, members of Methodist Churches and congregations, to the importance of using all means in their power to secure a great and notable victory for prohibition.” A collection at the public centenary gathering realised £lOO.
