The Auckland Racing Club’s winter meeting was concluded to-day, when the weather was fine and the attendance large. At a meeting of the Board of the New Zealand Trotting Association to-dny the question of tho right of an owner to renominate for a higher class nt a club's meeting after his horse has qualified by performance, wm the subject of discussion. It was decided to advise the Metropolitan Trotting Club that un. der the rules they were bound to accept renominations. The New Zealand Trotting Association will bring the following notice of motion before the annual conference:—'Tn al) handicap events the handicap allowance shall bo made by yards and not by time allowance, and all races shall be started in accordance with tho handicap ff, made."
