FIRE BRIGADE MATTERS

The twenty-ninth annual meeting of the United Fire Brigades' Association Accident Society wns held to-day. The following officers were elected:—President, Snnorinterdcnt J. Carter (Sumner) ; vice-presidents, Secretary E. S. Grose (Hamilton), Superintendent J. H. Riddell (Spit) ; treasurer, Secretary C. A. Osborne (Onehung-n); secretary, Captain T. J. Watts (Newmarket) ; auditor, Mr. P. R. Fraser (Auckland), The United Fire Brigades’ Association to-day accepted the invitation of the Palmerston North Brigade to hold the next conference there. The following officers were elected for the ensuing v«ar: —President. Contain C. A. Lucas dst. Kilda); vice-preeidente. senior, Snparintendent W. IT. Barnard (Palmerston Nnrl'hl. junior. Contain H. E. Crenthf-.nl (Eketahnna): treasurer rnd secretary, Mr. C. A. Osborne (Onehnngnj; auditor, Mr. P. R. Fraser (Auckland).
