STAFF PICNICS

A. AND T. BURT, LTD. The staff of A. and T. Burt, Ltd., held its annual picnic at' Maidstone Park on Saturday. The weather was all that could be desired. Trophies were presented for various races by Sirs Miss, and Mrs. Burt, and Messrs. Clark and M’Caull. A special event of the dav was a relay race between a team from Messrs. L. T. Watkins and Messrs. A and T. Burt, with the result of a win bv inches for-th'- former team, after an exciting contest. Children’s races were also held. After afternoon tea the prizes were presented by Mrs. T. R Burt and Hie enjoyable day was brought to o finality by giving cheers for Mr. and Mrs. T. R. Burt. ODLIN AND COMPANY. The emplovees of the firm of Messrs. C and A. Tho annual picnic of the Wellington Match Factory Employees’ Union was held at Windsor Park, Upper Hutt, on Saturday, and a very enjoyable outing was spent by over 100 persons, who journeyed to the picnic ground by motor bus from the city.
