* • ANOTHER CLAIMANT. A communication received by the Minister of Lands (Hon. D. H. Guthrie) indicates that William Gordon Low, the .Scotsman who claims to own Wellington land to the value of ,£1,000,0110 on account of a grant made to his soldier-grand-father, is not tho solo claimant. An English lady has written to the Minister asking him to sec that the estate is not made over to iMr. Low, since, she alleges, ho is not tho rightful heir at all. She herself, she adds, is the real owner of the A'4,OOo,ofiO property. The rival claimants may he relieved when they Hud that they have really nothing to quarrel about.
