The Povorly Bay Association notitled that its team would arrive in Wellington to-day for the Brown Shield game with Wellington on Saturday. It was decided to entertain the players at the theatro on Friday, night and at dinner on Saturday night. The New Zealand Council notified the appointment of Mr. G. Black, of Christchurch, as referee for the game. Tho Boys' Institute oflercd the use of the tepid baths to tho teams after the game, and the oner was accepted thankfully. II wbb decided to play all fixtures Saturday next from the fourth jrade downwards, Owing to the lateness of tlio season, concern was expressed by the meeting at tho number of games yet to bo played for tlio championship, with all Charity Cup gnmes still unplaced. The mattor was carcfully considered. It w«8 decided to cloße the senior championship and award it to Thistle Club, and commeno the Charity Cup games on August 14. The third class competition was closed, and awarded to Island Bay, Charity Cup games to start 011 the sanio date as tho senior games.
