DEBT TO BRITISH SEAMEN THE SHEEPOWNERS' FUND, A meeting of the trustees of the New Zealand 'Shccpownerss' Acknowledgment of Debt to British Seamen Fund was held yesterday, at which were present Hons. W. D. S. MncDonald and D. H.' Guthrie, Sir' Walter Buchanan and Mr, E. Newman, M.P. It was decided to cull a meeting of all signatories to the hind with a view to appointing a permanent committee of management. Full information is being obtained regarding the amount required for the relief of dependants of British seamen vho have lost their lives, or who have been wounded in defence of the Umpire, and this information will be placed before a subsequent meeting.
