The Australian embargo on New Zealand potatoes was mentioned in the House of Representatives again yesterday. Mr. Jones asked what'steps were being taken by tho Government to meet tho difficulty in which New Zealand potato growers wero placed owing to - ' the action of the Australian Government. Was it proposed to send a representative to Australia to confer with the authorities there?

The Minister of Agriculture (Mr. Nosworthy) 6nid that, tho Prime Minister was in cable communication with the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth, and a reply to Mr. Masscy's last cablegram was daily expected. When this reply came to hand tho Government would come to a decision on the question as to whether n representative should be sent to Australia. It was hoped that this would prove -unnecessary, as the present indications wero that something would be done by tho Qommonwealth Government to remove tho embargo. i ,
